My contribution to the ongoing drawing challenge over at :iconrubygloomforever:, where the challenge was to draw the parent of a Ruby Gloom character. I chose Iris' dad Tataris, who is a central character in my Iris origin fanfic. [Link]

It was done in a hurry to meet the deadline, and I'm not entirley pleased with the outcome. I wanted Tataris to look like a "noble savage", but he ended up looking a bit too civilized here. Maybe I'll do another version a little later.

Another really great entry for the challenge! I like the bearded look, it does give him a sense of savagery. Maybe he only looks civilized because he's making a decision about whether or not to eat whoever he's looking at in this picture... XD

But seriously, I always imagined Tataris with a beard; that was the single most important feature.

(...well, that and having only one eye, obviously)

The beard does give him a certain rugged look, I can't argue with you there...

fantastic version of him!! i did imagined him a bit like this.
for my picture of iris in his savage custom i want to include tataris, her mom, squig and some other cyclops!
